Puppy School
Our Puppy School is the starting point of your dog’s learning journey! Not only will you get the building blocks to a social and well adjusted dog you will also get to build a bond with your puppy that will last a lifetime! Our Puppy School consist of a 6 week course in which we use positive reinforcement training methods incorporating clicker training. All breeds of puppies between 8 - 16 weeks are welcome to join this class.
Lessons will incorporate exercises such as:
• Puppy basic obedience commands like sit, down, stay, loose leash walking, recalls etc
• Building a strong relationship for future training
• Giving advice on topics like house training, jumping up and digging
• Socialising your pup to other dogs and people
• Building your puppy's confidence to help create a well rounded happy adult dog
Puppies are very open to imprinting at the age of 8 - 16 weeks and absorb everything around them like a sponge. This is why puppy school is so important during this critical age. Now is the time to teach them acceptable behaviour, because they are open to learning and have not learned any bad behaviour yet. Most behaviour problems that dogs exhibit when older can be prevented if the dogs are properly socialised when puppies.
Classes take place on Saturday mornings.
